Has anyone here been to a subtitled/captioned showing of a film at the cinema? What was it like?

(I keep meaning to go to one at my local cinema, but the last 4 have been for 3D films, and I can't afford that right now.)

I've really wanted to go to one for a while, but none of them are at cinemas that are incredibly close by, and beyond that they're always at inconvenient times for movies I generally don't want to see. ::sigh::

Also... you get subtitled screenings for 3D films in the UK? Wow, we still don't have that Stateside. You've got to go to the 2D version if you want subtitles. -_-;;
